How Is Your Vision?

There are many distractions and diversions in the days in which we live. We must evaluate our priorities and determine to focus on what is most important. The attitudes or responses of our spirit towards God, towards people around us, and towards circumstances determine where we are going and what goals we will ultimately fulfill. What we do today, and every day affects us for eternity. Our vision in God affects our commitment. We must ask God for clear and enlarged vision, fresh vision for the days in which we live. We need to understand what is happening in the world and how we ought to live. Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Another way to say this is “Without clear revelation, God’s people are unrestrained and careless in their living.”

God is pursuing a continual love relationship with us that is real and personal. We come to know God by experience as we obey Him and He accomplishes His work through you. God is not moved by time like we are. It is no big deal to Him. Allow God to take all the time He needs to accomplish His plans. He is concerned about our lives through eternity. Allow Him to work in you and through you.

God is always at work all around us. But He always is doing more in my relationship with Him than in using me to help others. I definitely believe that those we worked with overseas taught me much more than I ever taught them.

God’s plan for our lives throughout eternity is to build a continuing love relationship with Him based on experiences as we obey Him and He accomplishes His work in and through us. We must make some major adjustments in our life to join God in what He is doing but it is so worth it!

Any assignment from God is an important assignment.  Don’t use human standards to measure the importance or value of anything you feel lead to do.  If we follow logic, we will tend to take things into our own hands and miss out on some amazing adventures.

Have you ever felt God wanted you to do something, but it seemed a stretch for you?
Did you follow through or back down?
