Moving Right Along!

Another year ahead: full of possibilities, challenges, and blessings!  Here we go, ready or not!  Fresh new opportunities await and we can be prepared as best we can for what comes our way.  Thankfully we have God’s assurance that He will be with us and walk or carry us through whatever comes our way.  That is a tremendous blessing just having this knowledge and assurance.

Our hurting world needs to know the truth about what it means to have Jesus as our Lord and Savior and to have Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us day by day.  The following are just a few of the promises He has given us. We want to have these close at hand and ready to encourage ourselves and others that we encounter throughout this new year.

  1. Fear is banished. (1 John 4:18-19)
  2. Love is stronger than death and fear.  (Romans 6:9-11)
  3. Good triumphs over evil. (2 Corinthians 2:14
  4. Our needs can be met in Christ. (Philippians 4:19)
  5. Hope can be restored. (Romans 5:5)
  6. Disease can be healed. (Matthew 8:17)
  7. Peace can prevail. (John 14:27)
  8. Joy can be our norm. (John 16:24)
  9. Captives can be set free. (Luke 4:18)
  10. Failures can be redeemed. (Romans 8:28)

So, whether you enter this new year enthusiastically or with apprehension, we all continue on our journey and our walk through this life and towards becoming more like Christ Jesus.  We are blessed to walk alongside others who we live with or who just cross our path day by day.  May we have the grace and courage to speak up so that no one misses out on hearing about God’s love for them and all that He wants to do in and through them this year.

“I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit, and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love, and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19
